This blog is dedicated to the sublime instruments called nose flutes and which produce the most divine sound ever. We have chosen to discard all the native models from S. Pacific and Asia, for they need fingering to be played. We'll concentrate on "buccal cavity driven" nose flutes : the well patented and trademarked metal or plastic ones, plus, by a condemnable indulgence, some wooden craft or home-made productions.

Japanese creativity, again...!

A beautiful set of fancy "straw and cardboard" hanabue, by Mr. Susumu Noda.

  1. Very artful, with even a Van Gogh! I just love the way the silvery shiny ones remind me of the stone heads on Easter Island! My favourite though must be the one with what I believe to be Mount Fuji.

Great stuff: so elegant and so simple, yet so sohisticated!
